Lunar New Year Cards Design
To celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit in 2023, I created a long-eared rabbit adorned with a bandage on her ear.
2022 was a special year for many people. The pandemic reshaped so much of what we once took for granted: remote work became the norm, and the distance between people grew further apart. Many of us felt isolated, lonely, and hurt inside.
I wanted to create an inclusive, healing, and companionable character. She wraps her soft, floppy ears around your heart. Her ears droop when she's sad, tilt when she's curious, and twist into knots when she's in pain. She reminds us that it's okay to feel sad, hurt, and lonely.
